An anatomical coordinate system of the tibia was constructed. Twelve regions were created by combining three heights (proximal, 57%–70%; central, 43%–57%; distal, 30%–43%) and four areas of the axial plane (xy-plane) at 90° (medial, anterior, lateral, and posterior), comprising cortical thickness data from 200 to 1000 points in each region
